After researching and studying the photographer Francesca Woodman’s work and life, I made some photos and prints inspired by her.
She played with a low shutter speed and motion blur. Her images were often described as ghost-like and ethereal. Many of them were playful too.
She loved photographing in rundown interiors, nature’s landscapes, and her personal studio space.
Her images were often printed in small squares with white matte surrounding them, to invite the viewer in closer. She would also caption her photos with a handwritten note to someone or a lyric of thought .
